Washington, DC resident Darrell Allen Davidson, 35, was busted on the stolen ride by members of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office during a planned safety and speed enforcement operation on Budds Creek Road.

During the enforcement, which came about as a result of ongoing traffic complaints throughout the county, officers handed out dozens of tickets to 58 vehicles that were stopped.

Deputies issued citations for violations relating to:

  • Speed;
  • Seatbelts;
  • Registration;
  • Driving without a license;
  • Driving on a suspended license;
  • Driving a motorcycle without a motorcycle license.

“Members of the Traffic Operations Unit will continue to focus traffic assignments in various parts of the county to address roadway safety,” according to the sheriff’s office. “These operations are conducted in areas based on data relating to crashes, citizen complaints, and patrol observations.”
